I was in my garden two days ago and saw the prettiest ladybug on my potato plant. She was so busy crawling all over the leaves, I was fascinated and couldn’t resist taking all these pictures.
Also, I had thoughts about weeds… and they weren’t happy thoughts. The picture below explains my problems with the unwanted creeping things that find all gardens. Am I the only one that has an aversion to weeds? Do you dislike pulling weeds? It might be like some people love to do laundry and then there’s me, I hate to do laundry…it never goes away and you never beat it. I try to keep up, but think I will probably get caught up when the kids leave. And then I will miss all the piles of laundry, and miss the kids. No pictures of my laundry room though, the weeds are as far as I am willing to share. The fact that I don’t have to pull weeds in my garden is probably one of the main reasons for its success. In reflecting on the past year and a half gardening, one of my blessings is not having to pull weeds…except for my orange tree box.
