I’m back from vacation – surgery tomorrow

For the past two weeks I have been gone on vacation. I volunteered as a counselor for our church girls camp for one week and then spent a week with family and friends on my favorite river in Hunt, Texas. I had friends and family water and check on my garden while I was away. My garden got tons of rain, so that helped too. My kidney surgery is tomorrow morning at 8 am so I will be out for probably another week. For the amazing story about my surgery, read this post.

I am very anxious to dig my sweet potatoes the first week in August. Walking will be good therapy for my recovery so I am sure I will get out to my garden as soon as I can. My okra is thriving in all this Texas heat and I hope to take pictures with updates soon. Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers.
