Today I start my new career: 5th grade science teacher

Today is the start of a new career for me. I will be teaching 5th grade science for the Pearland ISD in Pearland Texas. I am so excited to finally have my own classroom and kids I can love and teach. This week is teacher training and the students arrive next Monday. I appreciate my mom for all the encouragement and support in helping me get my degree! She is the best cheerleader for education I know of. Thanks mom for everything! I love you! ~ Melanie
